Title: VicRoads Delivers Additional Customer Service Drivers
VicRoads is the statutory Corporation within the Victorian Government Infrastructure portfolio, which manages Victoria's arterial road network, implement road safety strategies and programs and provide vehicle registration and driver licensing services.
VicRoads were keen to find a way of reducing costs, without impacting on their customer service experience.
They decided to, after a public tendering process, implement a speech recognition solution from Salmat.
The solution works in two ways. As well as providing a pre-purchase check for cars, boats, trailers and so on, it also procides a 'Change of Address' application for Victorian residents.
The solution has enabled VicRoads to offer a simple process for residents to change their address, as well as offering an 'after-hours' service, thereby improving their overall customer service.
